General Rules:

  1. Strict regularity, implicit obedience, courtesy in speech and conduct, cleanliness of dress and person are expected from every pupil.
  2. All the pupils are responsible to the school authorities for their conduct in and outside the school. Any reported or objectionable observed conduct and irregular attendance would make them liable to disciplinary action.
  3. English is the medium of the school and hence all students should speak in English in school even in their private conversation.
  4. Every pupil should have her/his own diary and bring it to school daily.
  5. Every pupil should be present at the assembly held before class. Late comers are liable to be sent back home.
  6. No student will be exempted from physical exercise (drill) without a doctor’s certificate which must be renewed every term and countersigned by the principal.
  7. Students are required to bring all their books according to the time table. They are likely to be fined if they come to school without their books.
  8. Any damage done in or around the school premises must be made good by the parents of the students responsible, if the offender is not discovered a collective fine may be imposed upon the entire class. The decision of the principal regarding the amount to be paid is final.
  9. The school is not responsible for any articles or money lost. It is not advisable for students to bring large sum of money or valuable for students with them to school. If you pay any amount of money in school office, it is your responsibility to get the receipt.
  10. Students are not allowed to wear silver and gold ornaments in school.
  11. No collection for any purpose whatsoever is to be started and no meeting, demonstration, party or picnic may be held without previous permission of the principal. Presents to the members the staff or demonstration in their honour also require the principal’s permission.
  12. Fine may be the principal only or with her expressed permission faults, against discipline or irregularity.
  13. Students from one class are not permitted to go to another class.

 

Leave & Absence:

No leave of absence is granted except on previously written application from the parents or guardians.

In case of illness, the girl/boy on returning to school must bring a note in her/his diary from her/his parents certifying the fact and get it signed by the principal before the class commences.

The principal should be informed at earliest, if due to illness, a student is likely to be absent for more than a week.

If the absence without leave application is prolonged for more than ten days her/his name liable to be struck off from the roll.

During an academic year a student can’t take more than 15 leaves. If they do so they liable to be punished as suitable by the principal.

Pupils are expected to return to school after the holidays on the reopening day.

HALF –DAY LEAVE WILL NOT BE GRANTED TO ANY STUDENT

 

For parents :

Parents are expected to their part enforcing regularity and discipline. They should see that children prepare their lessons which ought to have been noted down by the pupil in her/his diary.

Pupil suffering from a contagious disease should not be sent to school.

They should make sure that the children especially in the higher classes devote about 2 hours each morning and 2:30 hours in the evening to study in order to inculcate regular habit of study in their children.

Parents and guardians can visit the teachers on Saturday after class for 15 minutes.

Nobody is allowed to see the pupil or meet their teachers in the class hours.

Parents are requested to pay attention to read the report and messages sent by teachers in the diary and sign without fail. Failure to do so may put their children to great inconvenience.

Parents and guardians should bring the complaints they may have to the principal not the teachers.

They are reminded that engaging private tutor for their children may prove injurious to solid work and progress in studies. Hence no pupil may take private tuitions in any subject especially from the teacher of this school without first consulting the principal and obtaining her permission.

As the medium of instruction in this school in English, Children should be helped to follow their classes easily and intelligently by regular English conversation at home.

 

Examination & Promotion

Three periodical Test and Annual Examination are held during the year and reports are issued for the same.

Pupils may not sit for their examination unless the fees have been up-to-date.

In case of pupils who are certified medically unfit to appear for the promotion examination supplementary examination will be taken later.

The principal’s decision in the matter of promotion is final. Parents are asked to accept them for the good of their children. Parents should consult the principal whenever the examination report is unfavorable not after the Final examination. Promotion refused will not be considerable. There will be no re- examination at any time in the year any reason.

 

BREACH OF DISIPLINE AND CARD SYSTEM

Students will be issued ‘PINK’, ‘YELLOW’ and ‘RED’ cards for serious or habitual breach of discipline.

The card, when issued, has to be returned has to be returned on the next day signed by parent; otherwise will not be admitted to the class.

 

PINK CARDS
To be issued to the defaulted student for the following:

  • Repeated careless and irregular work.
  • Irregular attendance.
  • Coming late school.
  • Coming to school without uniform.
  • Disturbing the class in the absence of teachers.
  • Disrupting classroom teaching.
  • Loitering out of the class without purpose.
  • Missing class, assembly, library, P.T. periods etc.
  • Throwing pieces of chalk, Paper and such things.
  • Not bringing the school diary.

 

YELLOW CARDS
To be issued to the defaulter student concerned in the presence of the co-coordinators and the parents for the following :

  • Being disobedient.
  • Using abusive language.
  • Rude or insolent behaviour with the teacher.
  • Bullying fellow students and juniors –causing physical injury and hurts.
  • Using unfair means during any examination.
  • Damaging school property (a fine will also be imposed)
  • Forging signature of the parents, teachers or principal.
  • Any other similar offences

 

RED CARD
To be issued to the defaulter student concerned in the presence of the principal and parents for the following:

  • Misbehaving with a teacher.
  • Negative influence.
  • Bursting crackers in the school campus.
  • Misbehaving with girls/boys.

 

NOTE :

  • Three pink card will equivalent to one yellow card.
  • Yellow card mean suspension from the school for a week.
  • Two yellow card will be equivalent to one red card.
  • Red card will mean suspension from the school for 2 weeks and expulsion the school at the end of the academic year.

 

LITTLE THINGS TO REMEMBER

  1. To greet your teachers in pleasant and audible tone or voice wherever and audible tone or voice wherever you meet them in school or outside.
  2. To stand when any sister, teacher or visitor enters or passes through any room in which you happen to be.
  3. To avoid dropping papers in the school premises and to pick up any such paper dropped by others and not to pour ink on your desk and floor.
  4. To be polite in speech and avoid vulgarity in your talk and behavior.
  5. To take care never to interrupt any one who is talking.
  6. To handle carefully the common things like furnitures, library books, laboratory things, sports materials etc. And to report any damage which you may observe.
  7. To observe silence during change of period.
  8. To walk in single file and in silence, when you move along the veranda from one class to another.
  9. To be docile in your obedience for your parents and teachers, giving them always therespect and affection that is their due and accepting guidance and correction with gratitude.
  10. To be always friendly with one another in or out of the school.
  11. To accept whatever work is assigned to you as your rightful share.
  12. To be courteous to and sportsman like with opposing, teams and with officials.
  13. To respect the liberty & rights of others.
  14. To learn and observe good manners at table and elsewhere.
  15. To have consideration for others always.
  16. To see the needs and volunteer help to all with whom you come in correct in and out of the school.
